Welcome To Our Club

Welcome to the Newtown and Chilwell Cricket Club.

In terms of premierships won, we are the most successful in the history of the Geelong Cricket Association – 100 junior and senior premierships.

But we measure success in many other ways.

Inclusion: we support cricket from ages under seven to over 70.

Facilities: we have some of the best club playing and practice facilities in Victoria, facilities we make readily available to the public.

Social activities: As well as organising cricket, we run quality social events, some for the enjoyment of our players and their friends and family, others to raise money for worthy organisations like the Pink Stumps and Ovarian Cancer charities.

We see ourselves as more than just a cricket club, but a vital contributor to our local community, and we extend a warm welcome to new members who share our love for cricket and the communities in which it is played.

Please feel free to wander through our website to discover more about what makes the Two Blues one of the most successful, accessible, and inclusive cricket clubs in our region. We welcome you to join our club.

$60,000 needed - make your contribution today.

To donate:

The Two Blues are embarking on a major upgrade of the centre wicket, its first full refurbishment in more than 50 years. A major program of works is proposed for the refurbishment including the removal of 80-100mm of soil from the centre wicket, replacement turf, laser levelling and new grass.

The centre wicket area has served the club well for many decades but is no longer able to support sufficient grass growth to produce a top-quality wicket. Without a significant upgrade, the wicket will continue to deteriorate and our club will suffer. To attract top-flight players, we need a top-flight wicket and despite the best efforts of a series of curators over many years, our decks are not as good as they could and should be due to the condition of the centre wicket soil.

To attract new players; host women’s cricket and deliver more marquee games, including representative matches, the centre square must be overhauled. Through The Australian Sports Foundation (ASF), you can make a tax-deductible donation to this critical program which will ensure Newtown and Chilwell Cricket Club remains a destination location for decades to come. We are seeking to raise $60,000 through the ASF. Your contributions will help deliver this urgently needed program and ensure the Two Blues maintain our proud history as one of Geelong’s leading cricket clubs.
